Meanings according to Rider-Waite:
ASTROLOGICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Moon in Leo as a symbol of joy of life, fiery temperament, indomitable pride, and self-confidence.
QUEEN OF WANDS The Queen of Wands embodies the feminine side of the element of Fire. She thereby symbolizes self-confidence, peace with oneself, a feline grace that bespeaks intelligence rather than conformity. The Queen of Wands is always her own person, yet open to everything new and ready for action. The pride that governs her personality gives her great inner strength, but it also makes her vulnerable to criticism and any kind of hurtful remark. She symbolizes the joy of life and the thirst for happiness to such a degree that this can spill over into a pure craving for pleasure, an escape into a world of illusions, and the most extravagant squandering of spiritual energy. Her acting talent and passion make her the "queen of the stage," a splendid example of which is Carmen in the famous opera by G. Bizet.

QUEEN OF WANDS The essence of the QUEEN OF WANDS is defined by feeling and the Cup, but she expresses them through the Wand. This is a woman who unshakably represents the qualities that fill her; in doing so, she displays great strength and often assumes a noble stance. She holds firm convictions, and her personal (human) honor is important to her. She is a Personality. The Trap. Pride, stubbornness, and errors born of these.
UPRIGHT POSITION Astrological equivalents: the signs of Leo and Aquarius, the planets Sun and Saturn. In the upright position, the card signifies: self-awareness, strength, character, pride, honor. An attractive and understanding personality. She is friendly, well-disposed toward you, perhaps loves you, although this love may have a maternal, protective shade. This is a personality outwardly imbued with a peculiar charm, practical, well adapted socially, though she may also be somewhat cool. She is reasonable, free of complexes, knows how to keep her feelings under control, while at the same time, when necessary, freely expressing her emotions; though at times she may be stormily touchy, she just as quickly "cools off." She is ambitious, eager for recognition, and greatly enjoys being loved by everyone, and especially being respected.
REVERSED POSITION Astrological equivalents: Cancer, Capricorn, Moon, Saturn. This is a "hot" woman, arousing desire and interest, capable of defending her interests wholly and uncompromisingly, or a person whom you are trying to adapt to the surrounding social conditions and who resists them. Sometimes the reversed QUEEN OF WANDS may symbolize a personality who, intentionally or not, discredits you and undermines your authority, as well as an extremely eccentric and capricious person to whom you are bound.
If the card signifies action. A. Upright card The events described by the neighboring cards have already begun. The process is underway. The concept has been formed, if it is a matter of an idea. If the KING may signify the initiator (the motivating factor), here we are dealing with the acquisition of form, with a process gathering strength.
B. Reversed card What you have conceived is clearly detached from reality; most likely the fulfillment of your desire is impossible. In due time, you allowed fantasies and wishes to influence the course of your reasoning too strongly.
