Meanings according to Rider-Waite:

ASTROLOGICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Venus in the second house as a chance to achieve happiness and wealth in one's inner or outer world.

ACE OF DISKS The Ace of Disks, like the other Aces, reveals the chances hidden within ourselves. This Ace calls upon us to look within, to look around, in order to find as yet untapped possibilities for emerging from the present situation, prosperously and fortunately in the sense of the element of earth which this Ace represents — that is, in the sense of not only material but, above all, spiritual wealth. Along with the Ace of Cups, it is one of the finest cards among the Minor Arcana. However, the good fortune it symbolizes does not fall from the sky; it must be sought out. And it is quite possible that this search will require considerable effort, like the search for a treasure in a vineyard. Yet the result will not only fulfill all our hopes but will also add to us a sense of profound happiness.

ACE OF PENTACLES Astrological equivalents: Capricorn, Aquarius (the transition from Capricorn to Aquarius), Saturn, Jupiter, the Tenth House. The theme of the ACE OF PENTACLES resounds with triumph. The ACE OF PENTACLES may signify acquired skills, new sources of income, new acquaintances, new opportunities for growth. However, since it nevertheless belongs to a suit associated with rather lower centers in the organism (the material suit), the ACE OF PENTACLES also symbolizes fertility. This card shows the influence of Capricorn and Cancer (from the summit to the abyss), and Capricorn, which corresponds more fully to the spirit of the PENTACLES, is connected with the Tenth House (the Midheaven) — a symbol of seeking and dissatisfaction with what has been achieved. The ACE OF PENTACLES combines within itself both the higher Capricorn (self-denial, renunciation in the name of an ideal, the capacity for self-sacrifice) and the lower Capricorn — cold, calculating, ruthless toward oneself and others, egotistical. The trap is fixation upon a particular form, upon particular goods.

UPRIGHT POSITION In the upright position, the ACE OF PENTACLES symbolizes rapture, ecstasy, joy, superiority, perfection, happiness. The presence of this card in a spread indicates that the subject may be moving straight to the top of the social pyramid. In one way or another, the ACE OF PENTACLES sets forth the following situations: career, professional mastery, severance from one's roots, possibly a break with people; at the same time, this is the acquisition of new opportunities, including the possibility of looking at everything with a new, fresh eye. For politicians, performers, and other people connected with public activity, the ACE OF PENTACLES will signify questions of their recognition. The ACE OF PENTACLES may elevate a person, but it may also cast them down. In principle, this card merely concentrates attention upon the questions listed above. PENTACLES are the material suit. Therefore, the ACE OF PENTACLES may signify money, income, recognition associated with wealth, a harmonious combination of the material and the spiritual. In principle, the card may indicate the beginning of a situation, a process which in the future — perhaps a fairly distant one — will lead to fame, money, recognition. The ACE OF PENTACLES may also signify certain events connected with health. This may be either illness or healing. PENTACLES are a suit symbolizing the equilibrium of forces, and therefore questions of health (or affliction) will be based upon harmony or the attainment of it.

REVERSED POSITION In the reversed position, the ACE OF PENTACLES may signify the impossibility of growth, infertility, the absence of sources of income, wealth without happiness, prosperity without satisfaction, health that is squandered to no purpose, expenditures, including monetary ones, insatiable craving, an encounter with falsifications, with counterfeits (most likely material ones).
