Meanings according to Rider-Waite:
ASTROLOGICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Jupiter in the 2nd house as a symbol of abundance and prosperity.
TEN OF DISKS The Ten of Disks signifies a period of wealth, stability, fullness of life, and confidence in the future. At the same time, wealth and fullness can manifest both on the external and internal planes. However, in order to achieve inner fullness, one must keep one's eyes open at all times. Thus, the card warns that amidst business affairs and diligence, one must not forget about matters of the soul and everyday life. Behind the routine of daily existence, which at first glance seems so grey, one must learn to see the wonders it conceals within itself.

TEN OF PENTACLES Prosperity, Wealth The third decan of VIRGO from September 13 to 22. Astrological equivalents: Cancer, Capricorn, Mercury in Capricorn. The third decan of Virgo is associated with the understanding of all the complexity of life's structures, and it is ruled by the very rulers of VIRGO — Mercury and Ceres (who governs the chemical transformations of substance in the organism and the organization of mental and social processes into a unified whole capable of clear functioning in the present conditions). This decan is characterized by an analytical attitude toward life processes, accuracy and diligence, attention to detail and precision, a neutral attitude toward what is happening, which, however, does not prevent participation in it out of reasonable motives. The Tarot card depicts the Tree of the Sephiroth. This is the entire history of world civilization, every life process individually, and each of us: the presence of every person in the world directly transforms life. The card depicts different stages of existence: on it is an old man looking through an arch at the development of the city of the future, a man, a woman, and a child, as well as dogs devoted to man, all together symbolizing the further evolution not only of the human but also of the animal kingdom. In divination this image is interpreted as daily accomplishment. The world is not endowed with any particular meaning beyond that with which we ourselves endow it. The Tree of Life in the picture merely indicates that we are at a certain evolutionary stage — and ahead lies a new stage of existence, which is foreseen by the wise old man looking through the arch of the past at the new city in the distance. The TEN OF PENTACLES once again returns us to the signs of Cancer and Capricorn. But this time their action is, as it were, reversed. Therefore the upright position of the TEN OF PENTACLES is more associated with Cancer, and the reversed — with Capricorn, more precisely, with the manifestation of the lower Mercury in Capricorn. A trap. The attempt to hold on to "today" for the sake of its fullness and richness.
UPRIGHT POSITION In the upright position the card symbolizes wealth, prosperity, security, reliability, family and family affairs, inheritance, ancestors and home, as well as living conditions, economy, even to the point of stinginess. Something has already been carried out and completed, and the necessity has come of moving on to another stage. This applies both to relationships and to career.
REVERSED POSITION In the reversed position the TEN OF PENTACLES — unjustified risk, unsuccessful investments, possible losses, hoping for the best by chance, absent-mindedness, dishonest play, lack of support. On the metaphysical plane — changes seem to continue, there is nothing firm or settled, reliability is absent. Here it is important to gather one's patience (Saturn) and not to despair, placing one's hope in the future. PENTACLES is a material suit. And the TEN OF PENTACLES once again brings us to a situation of choice, as was the case in the TEN OF SWORDS. But there we were tested by force, and here we are tested by prosperity.
The TEN OF PENTACLES may indicate material dependence, when prosperity completely subjugates a person (a person does not leave a hateful job for the sake of a good salary). The other extreme: a person has grown sick of everything material, he has everything, but his soul is drawn to nothing. He strives toward something more elevated, toward the harmony of body and feelings, but cannot overcome his earthbound nature. Somewhere in the depths of his soul nests a material temptation which the person has not overcome, but which, however, he does not recognize either.
